Title: 31cu piston and rings Post by: conductor_81 on January 29, 2013, 08:28:49 pm Where is a good place to get a 31cu ohv piston, rings, and gasket kit for and engine. Helping out a fellow racer and his piston has a very small piece broken out of the second ring groove. It is about 1/16 of an inch long so i figure we better replace the piston. When that piece broke it also cracked the ring so he needs rings. I looked at them threw work but seemed a bit high. The engine is going in his

MOST DEALERS SELL ABOVE MSRP. OR TALK TO WORK AND SEE IF THEY WILL SELL YOU ENGINE PARTS AT DEALER COST FOR YOUR RACERS. ;D

I dont understand why they arent sure but we will see what happens. My local dealer was 15 bucks higher than I can buy it at work for. It is 78 bucks for the piston and rings. I just thought maybe I could find them a bit cheaper for this guy to help him out.
