Title: Peerless 700 Post by: conductor_81 on December 02, 2014, 09:37:00 pm I was looking at a transmission I have tore down today. To me it looks like the reverse sprockets are number 40 chain. If this is the case can I put good 40 chain in there and still have reverse? I was wondering if this would work or if I would end up blowing up the case with a broken chain?

Title: Re: Peerless 700 Post by: GRUBDIGGER on December 10, 2014, 06:14:39 am 15W40 ROTELLA MOTOR OIL. I PUT IN A VENT AND A SITE TUBE TO SEE THE OIL LEVEL. ALL MY TRANNYS ARE BUILT THIS WAY. YOU SHOULDNT HURT A THING. I WOULD RECOMEND PUTTING A COLLAR OVER THE INPUT SNOUT SO YOU DONT BREAK THE CASE. IVE SEEN THAT HAPPEN ON A MOD X R
