Where is the best place to get 49cui heads and rods for a briggs 49cui engine. This is on a grass cutter that I'm working on here at home for a guy that needs helped out. So the less expensive the better. Or where can I possible fine used parts. What mowers were the engines all on? I'm trying to help this guy's out. He's had a rough year. Thanks for the info guys.

I might be able to get You a set of rods used rods a good price. A friend of mine has a few sets They were taken out of new blocks that were prepped for racing.

I'll see if he has a set and how much.

Mark

John take a thick piece of flat metal cut it into a horseshoe shape heat it and kind of bend it down so that one piece sticks up and the other end is down kind of like a coil. Then weld it to the front of your spindle barrel you can vend it so that it is close to the frame. Then weld another piece of strait flat to it going to the center of your frame so that your drag link connects to it.
