Run a peerless 700-xxx 3speed transmission. 8 tooth on transmission and 32 tooth on axle with a 6" pulley on motor and a 5" on trans. Sometimes change pullies and or sprockets for other tracks.

DO YOU USE AN ADJUSTABLE PULLEY ON THE REAR? IT MAY NOT ADD UP BUT IF IT WORKS IT MAY BE A HARD PULLING SET UP.

IF YOU USE AN ADJUSTABLE PULLEY, THAT WOULD MAKE IT EASY TO FINE TUNE YOUR 8:1. THEY COME IN MANY SIZES.

ACME IS THE CHEAPEST AROUND. ALSO TRY MSC SUPPLY OR GRAINGER. ACME ONLY HAS THE ONE SIZE. THE OTHER TWO HAVE MANY SIZES. I THINK ACMES IS A 4 OR 4.5". THAT IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE USE. I USE IT ON A J/P. WORKS GREAT.
