Ah The old where do I start gearing question.

We were running on a 450' track with 120' straights. I started out with a 13 and a 44 but some had 15 and a 46 and I ended up with a 14 and 44. At the end of the year we all had different gearing and we all were running nose to tail.

The big factors are mower weight, driver weight and motor. Even with a governed engine in modxr the engine makes a difference we had to mostly identical machines but one with a Tecumseh and one with a briggs. Neither could run each others gear and be competitive

So my best guess would be 13 to 15 and 42 to 46

I hope the info helps people out. Gearing can be kind of tricky and mind racking.
