Well my personal opinion is that the 8" wheels keep the mowers looking like mowers. But depending on your gear ration, rpms, horse power and driving style I think it is just whatever a person feels best suits there needs. I dont think there is really one better than the other. Just my two cents.

I WAS WONDERING BECAUSE I NEVER RACED WITH 6" REAR WHEELS. JUST GETTING INFO FOR THE NEXT BUILD.

Yea the 6"s on the rear dont look like a lawn mower but i love them because i sit a little lower to the ground and go into the turns a little harder, but then i love the 8"s because of the look. Its all bout ur drivin style. Just my 2 cents to

Yea but its how you drive, if your a consistent driver then 8s are better. And dont forget the money difference

Go with what your comfortable with, if you can find some one with 6" wheels see if you ride there mower on a practice and see what you think

The 8in tires have a little more foot print on the ground there fore a little better traction, the 6in tires are easier to set your chassis lower to the ground.
