I never finished last years SP and have since sold the chassis. I'm left with out a chassis for the Flathead kawi I'm building so I have decided to build a small light chassis for the Kawisaki Fb460.

The Bolens 510 pup has a 39.5 wheelbase so I can run it in all the prepared classes.

I cleaned up the underside by taking all the unnecessary brackets off.

Hear is the chassis sitting on 4 3/8" blocks

And the new cassettes and hangers I made. There a a little stout but I haven't finished them yet.

As soon as I get the rear axle ordered and the front axle made I'll post some more pics.

Oh is rough lol, but a diamond, I doubt.

My wife almost had me convinced that I should restore it. She wasn't to please to learn it was going to be the new racer.

Funny thing is if you take a model 28 apart and then take a fb460 apart. You would throw away the model 28 and build the fb460. To be honest I don't know why more people don't build them.

The only part that isn't available is the connecting rod.  Cam and flywheel are. The lifters and springs
are the same as the briggs and if you look hard enough you can find valves.

If what I'm doing works out I will have a combination that will cost no more that what a Briggs motor costs.
