Had a vanny given to me and when it's running at full throttle it sounds like it is missing to me. I checked spark on both cylinders and it seems good. Cleaned the carb and didn't change. Any ideas? Motor is on governor it's off a grass cutter. Any help is welcome. Could one coil be half bad maybe? I did pull plug wires one at a time and it didn't change the sound either.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A BLOCKAGE IN THE CARB. CAN YOU CHOKE IT A LITTLE  AND MAKE IT RUN BETTER?

Went threw carb still running same. I don't have the same compression in both cylinders. One is 15psi lower than the other. I'm thinking bad cylinder or rings. Oh and flywheel key was sheared. Haven't fix that. Could that mess with the compression also?

THE KEY WAS MOST OF THE PROBLEM. COMPRESSION IS ANOTHER PROBLEM. DO A LEAK DOWN TEST AND A WATER MANOMETER  TEST. THOSE TWO TEST WILL TELL YOU WHERE TO GO NEXT.

Well I don't have a water manometer, but the leak down test shows me that cylinder two is loosing pressure so I'm going to take the head off and see if I can see anything. This motor will be going on the shelf for awhile.

Just as a stocker for now. I'd like to build it but cash just will not allow it rite now. Still trying to get caught back up. I'm sure it would make a nice racer.  Maybe they should have a mod-x-r twin class!!!! Shocked
