Helping a friend set up his FC540V in his G/P, MODX-R but the wiring is throwing me for a loop. There is a sensor on the oil filter housing with one wire where does it go and does it have to have a constant 12 volts? Also is ther a way to run the charging system with the kill switch and push button start? Last question how do I set RPM's? Thanks for the help guys.

THE SENSOR BY THE OIL FILTER IS NOT NEEDED. ITS FOR THE OIL LIGHT ON THE DASH. THE CHARGING SYSTEM CAN BE USED BUT YOU WILL NEED A REGULATOR. MOST EASY TO USE WOULD BE ONE OFF A KOHLER COMMAND. THE TWO WHITE WIRES WILL HOOK TO THE TWO OUTSIDE TERMINALS ON THE REGULATOR. THE MIDDLE TERMANIAL WILL HOOK TO THE + SIDE OF YOUR SOLENOID. THE REGULATOR MUST BE GROUNDED IN ORDER TO WORK.
RPMS WILL NEED TO BE SET TO GET YOUR 3650. LOOSEN THE 2 BOLTS(10MM) THAT HOLD THE THROTTLE PLATE TO THE BLOCK. SLIDE IT TO YOUR MAX RPMS AND TIGHTEN THEM UP.

Hey Grubby isn't there a regulator on that engine? There is a box on the side of the block that wire connect to from under the blower housing then the wires go back into the harness. I still have it the engine in the grass cutter cause I didn't have an idea of how to hook it up with the charging system. And for his RPMs what is the little bolt that pushes the choke lever forward. It's just behind the throttle plate.
