I stumbled onto a Kohler 12.5 OHV Modle CV12.5 Spec 1215, Im building a Modx-r and just wondering how this engine would work. After gaining knowledge and experience in this class I will move to a faster class. So im also wondering how these engines run once they are built? Any thoughts or info will be great. I just first want to run this class for the experience and also to get my chassis set up correctly! Thanks again.

ITS A VERY GOOD ENGINE. LATER WHEN YOU SWITCH CLASSES YOU MAY WANT TO CHANGE IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE.VERY LITTLE PERFOMANCE PARTS. YOU CAN BUY SOME THROUGH MID WEST SUPER CUB I THINK.

Ok John I looked at Lakota Racing but did not see to much. I could not find a billet aluminum flywheel for it either. So I think i might just go ahead and use it for a starter motor and see how it goes.

Im sorry i should have stated that it was a command, but it is so I will look at that site to see what i can all find. I will start getting more performance parts as time goes I have a set budget that I'm TRYING to keep im close to it so the performance parts will come as budget allows but i think i can sure get a flywheel with the budget. Any other places i can be directed to find out more information on minor modifications I can do for now? Thanks again.

OOPS I REREAD YOUR POST AND ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION. AS FAR AS THE ENGINES IN THIS CLASS THEY MUST BE BONE STOCK. NO MODS ACCEPT AIR FILTER,VOLICITY STACK, EXHAUST AND AN ADJUSTABLE NEEDLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CARB FOR YOUR HIGH END MIXTURE. WASNT SURE IF YOU SEEN THAT.
